Shift Lead – Food Operations

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Shift Lead to manage the food floor at our Truro Lemon Quay store. You will be responsible for preparing the sales floor for trading, coordinating resources, and ensuring a smooth fill operation, especially when the Team Manager is absent.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the fill operation, coaching colleagues on best practices and driving productivity.
• Allocate and coordinate staff to deliver quick payment experiences and maintain a clean, safe store environment.
• Manage opening and closing tasks, including vehicle receipt, temperature controls, cash handling and compliance.
• Act as a key holder, respond to call‑outs, and support nearby stores when required.
• Use management information to monitor performance and take corrective action.
• Provide regular feedback to line managers and recognise high‑performing colleagues.
• Support the delivery of store selling and cost targets.
