Site Civil Supervisor – Norwich

About the role

The client, a leading multinational energy technology company, is seeking an experienced Site Civil Supervisor to lead the Builders’ Work package on a construction site in Norwich. This contract role runs until the end of the year and operates inside IR35.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site leadership and coordination for all civil and architectural works delivered by subcontractors.
• Ensure work is carried out safely, to specification, and in line with approved drawings, quality‑assurance and health‑and‑safety standards.
• Supervise remaining civil works, close out quality‑assurance items and support programme delivery.
• Identify discrepancies, raise RFIs and conduct inspections, maintaining detailed records.
• Perform regular safety walks, manage observations and ensure appropriate PPE, barriers, signage and permits are in place.
• Coordinate high‑risk activities with the H&S team (working at height, hot works, lifting, confined spaces).
• Prepare weekly progress summaries with photographic evidence and report readiness to other trades.
• Attend coordination meetings and contribute to handover planning.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Site Supervisor on heavy civil construction projects (not domestic).
• Proven track record of managing civil and architectural works to specification.
• Familiarity with the Builders’ Work package and construction programme coordination.
• Ability to work on‑site in Norwich and hold the right right‑to‑work status for the UK.
