Snowflake / DBT Engineer

About the role

The Snowflake/DBT Engineer will design, develop, maintain and optimise Plan International’s cloud‑based data platform. You will build scalable ELT pipelines, integrate data from SAP S/4HANA and other systems, and enable trusted reporting and analytics across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain ELT pipelines using Snowflake, dbt and SQL.
• Build reusable, well‑tested dbt models and high‑performance analytical data models.
• Implement optimisation techniques, incremental processing, CDC and data‑quality controls.
• Integrate SAP S/4HANA and other enterprise sources via AWS Glue and related technologies.
• Collaborate with data architects, analytics teams, source‑system owners and IT to deliver robust data solutions.
• Support DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and version‑controlled dbt projects.

Required profile

• Strong experience designing and operating Snowflake data warehouses.
• Proficiency with dbt modelling and SQL development.
• Hands‑on experience integrating SAP S/4HANA data and using AWS Glue or similar ETL tools.
• Understanding of data‑quality, governance, lineage and security best practices.
