Checkout.com is seeking a Software Engineer I to help build next‑generation payments technology. You will work across multiple product teams, leading critical projects and delivering high‑quality software that powers billions of transactions worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and drive specific engineering projects from conception to production.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance full‑stack software solutions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align technical delivery with business goals.
• Prioritise tasks, manage deadlines, and ensure reliable delivery in an agile environment.
• Adapt to new problems and switch between teams or projects as business needs evolve.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience delivering high‑quality code under tight deadlines.
• Problem‑solving mindset, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• Interest in AI technologies and willingness to explore their application.
• Payments or financial knowledge is a plus, but not required.

Required skills

• Proficiency in C# .NET, Java, or Go.
• Solid understanding of software development principles for backend or full‑stack environments.
• Experience working in agile development processes.
