Software Engineer

About the role

Join BAE Systems Digital Intelligence as a Software Engineer and help deliver cutting‑edge solutions for national security clients. Working from our London hub, you will collaborate with experts across ten countries to design, build and operate software that supports governments, armed forces and commercial organisations in demanding environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop proof‑of‑concept or production systems using JavaScript, Java.Net or Python.
• Maintain source code with version‑control tools such as Git, Mercurial or Perforce.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using Bamboo, Jenkins, TeamCity or Bitbucket to accelerate feature delivery.
• Write automated tests and employ static analysis tools like SonarQube to ensure code quality.
• Participate in agile ceremonies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) and apply common software design patterns.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to solve complex client challenges.

Required profile

• Proven experience programming in one or more of JavaScript, Java.Net or Python.
• Familiarity with version‑control systems and CI/CD tooling.
• Ability to write automated tests and use static code analysis.
• Experience working in an agile environment.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and creativity.
