Software Engineering Internship – Summer 2027

About the role

Monzo is looking for a motivated Associate Software Engineer intern to join its engineering team for the summer of 2027. You will work on a real customer‑facing project, paired with a mentor, and gain hands‑on experience across the full software development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Write, test and ship code for new features used by Monzo customers.
• Review peers' code to learn best practices and improve quality.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and data analysts on your team.
• Explore new technologies and engineering practices.
• Seek feedback proactively to accelerate learning.

Required profile

• Currently completing a degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, graduating in 2028.
• Passion for problem‑solving and learning new technologies.
• Available full‑time for at least 12 weeks between June and September 2027.
• Right to work in the UK for the entire internship period, without needing visa sponsorship.
• Willing to work hybrid from Monzo’s London office (2 days per week onsite).
