Solution Engineer (Pre‑sales) – UK/I

About the role

We’re looking for a Solution Engineer to join our Commercial org at Pleo. In this role, you’ll help articulate the value of our solution and be part of the pre‑sales team as we scale Solutions at Pleo.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct generic or tailored product demonstrations, presentations, and workshops.
• Develop and deliver technical proposals, RFPs, responses, trials, and Proof of concepts.
• Understand customer objectives, technical environment, and accounting needs.
• Provide feedback and insights to product and engineering teams.
• Ensure a smooth transition from pre‑sales to implementation or onboarding.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in a solutions or pre‑sales role.
• In‑depth understanding of B2B SaaS products, APIs and relevant technologies, including configuration, integrations, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with accounting principles & financial workflows.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to think on your feet during customer interactions.
• Excellent planning, prioritisation, and risk management abilities to handle multiple pre‑sales engagements simultaneously.
• Background in customer‑facing roles with relationship‑building skills and a customer‑centric mindset.
