About the role
At Papworth Hall School you will help transform the lives of children and young people with additional needs by delivering engaging, personalised learning. You will work in a specialist setting with small class sizes, allowing you to focus on each learner and make a genuine impact.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons that inspire pupils and enable meaningful progress.
- Adapt teaching to meet a wide range of learning needs, supporting pupils academically, socially and emotionally.
- Develop and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs), behaviour plans and personalised learning pathways.
- Monitor, assess and celebrate pupil progress, using assessment to inform future learning.
- Promote positive behaviour through nurturing, relationship‑based approaches.
- Collaborate with Learning Support Assistants, therapists, families and the multidisciplinary team.
- Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment.
- Champion safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN, SEMH or complex needs.
- Creative, patient and adaptable with the ability to build strong, trusting relationships.
- Passionate about inclusive education and committed to helping every pupil reach their full potential.
- Thrives as part of a collaborative team and eager to continue professional development.
- Full UK driving licence.
