About the role
Vivid Healthcare are seeking an experienced Band 5 Specialist Biomedical Scientist (BMS) to work on a locum basis within the Histology department in Oxford. The role starts ASAP, is ongoing and offers a competitive rate of £20‑£26 per hour.
Key responsibilities
- Perform microtomy with a minimum throughput of 20 blocks per hour.
- Maintain accurate online timesheets and report weekly income.
- Ensure compliance with HCPC standards and departmental procedures.
Required profile
- Fully qualified BMS with at least 12 months recent experience in a UK hospital.
- HCPC registration and proven experience in microbiology.
- Willingness to be contactable for nights and weekends as needed.
