Sports Intern – International News & Digital Content

About the role

Join the flagship sports show World Sport at CNN International as a Sports Intern in London. You will support the production of multi‑platform sports content, help shape story ideas and gain hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced newsroom.

Key responsibilities

• Flag and document emerging sports news stories.
• Research background material for reporters, writers and producers.
• Build graphics and visual assets for on‑air segments.
• Book guests, pitch story ideas and support the London producer on assignments.
• Source images and footage for video edits.
• Write alerts for programming and digital platforms.
• Occasionally write short news pieces for CNN.com.

Required profile

• Undergraduate or postgraduate journalism study (not essential) with a demonstrable portfolio of work.
• Experience working to strict deadlines in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities quickly and efficiently.

Required skills

• Adobe Premiere (preferable).

• £29,000 per annum (pro‑rated) for a 6‑month fixed‑term internship.
