Staff Nurse – Patient Care & Assessment

About the role

The Staff Nurse will assess, implement and evaluate care plans for individual service users, acting as a key worker to meet patient needs. You will support the multidisciplinary team, maintain high standards of care, and ensure effective communication in line with NMC guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct assessments, develop, implement, evaluate and record service‑user centred care plans.
• Act as a key worker, liaising with professionals, agencies and the multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain a clean, safe and comfortable clinical environment, adhering to infection control and PEAT requirements.
• Report any circumstances affecting care delivery to the nurse in charge.
• Participate in 24‑hour crisis assessments and coordinate with other services as needed.
• Contribute to service development and quality outcome evaluation.

Required profile

• Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to adhering to Trust policies, infection control and risk management.
