Store Assistant – Toolstation, Giltbrook

About the role

Toolstation, part of the Travis Perkins group, is hiring a Store Assistant for its Giltbrook store in Nottingham. The post is permanent and part-time, at 20 hours per week, paid £12.87 per hour. Candidates should live locally and be able to commute, as the store is open from 7 AM to 8 PM.

Key responsibilities

• Handle deliveries, unpack stock, keep the store clean and prepare orders
• Provide friendly, efficient customer service and help customers find what they need for their projects
• Sell the benefits of the Toolstation Club and Trade Accounts and sign customers up
• Work in a fast-paced environment, handling both customer service and warehouse and stocking tasks

Required profile

• No retail experience needed; a warm, friendly personality and reliability are valued
• Flexibility to cover early starts and late finishes, and to work 20 hours per week
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn, with hard work and commitment more important than experience
