Store Assistant – Toolstation, Newcastle

About the role

Toolstation, part of the Travis Perkins group, is hiring a Store Assistant for its Denton store in Newcastle upon Tyne. The post is permanent and part-time, 20 hours per week, at £12.87 per hour. Candidates should live locally and be able to commute, as the store is open from 7 AM to 8 PM.

Key responsibilities

• Handle deliveries, unpack stock, keep the store clean and prepare orders
• Provide friendly, efficient customer service and help customers find what they need for their projects
• Sell the benefits of Toolstation Club and Trade Accounts and sign customers up
• Be proactive and enthusiastic, supporting colleagues and maintaining high store standards

Required profile

• No retail experience needed; commitment to excellent service is enough, as training is provided
• A warm, friendly personality and reliability
• Flexibility to cover early starts and late finishes
• Ability to work in hot summer and cold winter conditions
