Store Manager - Convenience, Thurso

About the role

Morrisons is recruiting a Store Manager for its convenience store on Provost Sinclair Road in Thurso. The role is permanent, 42 hours per week, reporting to the Area Manager. The store manager runs the store with an entrepreneurial spirit, with customers, colleagues and the local community as top priorities, leading the team to make it a great place to work and shop.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team to create a customer experience that matches the Morrisons brand
• Keep challenging and finding new ways to serve customers better
• Drive the store's commercial performance and improve its offering
• Handle people activities including recruitment, induction, training and development, building an inclusive culture
• Build and manage relationships and support the local community

Required profile

• Prior experience in fast-paced, service-focused environments such as retail, convenience or hospitality is typical but not a must-have
• Passion for spotting and developing talent, and for coaching, motivating and inspiring a team
• Ability to influence, listen and understand others' perspectives
• Willingness to roll up your sleeves and support the team in delivering store objectives
• High resilience and problem-solving ability
