Sub Agent – Water Retain Barrier Team

About the role

We are seeking a Sub Agent to join the Water Retain Barrier (WRB) team on a high‑profile redevelopment project at the Royal Navy site in Devonport, Plymouth. The role combines on‑site construction leadership with remote collaboration, supporting the delivery of a live MOD facility.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor team members while upholding health, safety and environmental standards.
• Communicate with management, technical specialists, clients and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Manage resources, monitor progress against programmes and develop mitigation solutions.
• Maintain accurate documentation, risk assessments and test plans.
• Support cost management systems and commercial reporting for the agent.

Required profile

• Degree, HND, HNC or NVQ in Construction, Engineering or a related field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach.
• Detail‑oriented, strong problem‑solving abilities and a proactive mindset.
• Experience in construction or civil operations with SMSTS/SSSTS certification.
• Eligibility for security clearance (passport from NATO or MISWG member country and five years UK residence).
