Subject Lead – Business Modules

About the role

The London College of Contemporary Arts is hiring five Subject Leads to provide academic leadership for business modules across its Foundation Year (Level 3) and Applied Business Management programmes (Level 5). You will shape curriculum, ensure high‑quality delivery, and drive student success while collaborating with module coordinators and lecturers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the vision and coherence of assigned business modules, aligning them with programme specifications and industry expectations.
• Design and maintain teaching materials, delivery plans, and Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) content.
• Create innovative assessments, marking schemes, and provide developmental feedback to students.
• Oversee standardisation, moderation and quality‑assurance processes to ensure fairness across delivery groups.
• Analyse data (NSS feedback, retention, progression) to identify improvement areas and implement enhancements.
• Coordinate with delivery teams and Module Coordinators to ensure consistent, effective teaching.

Required profile

• Postgraduate or professional qualification in Business, Management or a related discipline.
• Substantial teaching, learning and assessment experience in Higher Education.
• Expert knowledge of the business landscape, maintained through scholarship or professional practice.
• Strong understanding of HE quality processes, moderation and academic integrity.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to guide and motivate teaching teams.

Required skills

• Experience with Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) platforms.
