Supermarket Assistant - Waitrose Mill Hill

About the role

Waitrose is recruiting a Supermarket Assistant for its Mill Hill branch in London, covering the North London area. The role involves shopkeeping tasks that keep the store running efficiently and give customers the service they expect. Hours are varied part-time across seven days, including early starts, late finishes, evenings and weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Replenish stock so shelves stay full and products are in the right place at the right time.
• Fulfil online customer orders ready for delivery to customers' doors.
• Reduce waste by following product due diligence and markdowns on items approaching their sell-by dates.
• Support the wider shop team, including checkout support, managing Click & Collect orders and on-demand orders.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment with general shopkeeping tasks.

Required profile

• Ability to work at the listed North London branch(es) and the advertised hours.
• Communication skills to work well as part of a team and with customers.
• Permanent and temporary positions are available.

Required skills

• Desirable: experience in a customer-facing role.
• Desirable: up-to-date knowledge and strong interest in food and drink trends.
• Desirable: a flexible approach to supporting the whole branch.

What we offer

• Pay of £14.55 per hour, rising to £14.80 after 90 days of Earning Membership; night premium of £3.75 per hour between 22:00 and 06:00.
