Supervising Social Worker – Fostering (Part‑time)

About the role
Integrated Services Programme is seeking a qualified Supervising Social Worker to lead fostering placements across Chesham and surrounding areas. The role combines quality assurance, training, and collaborative supervision to support foster families and looked‑after children.
Key responsibilities
- Provide regular, meaningful supervision to foster parents and monitor placement quality.
- Deliver training sessions for prospective and current foster carers.
- Maintain high standards of case documentation and meet strict reporting deadlines.
- Work within a multi‑disciplinary team to ensure a therapeutic approach to fostering.
- Uphold all relevant legislation and agency policies.
Required profile
- Social Work England‑recognised qualification (or equivalent).
- Experience in children and families social work, preferably within a therapeutic model.
- Proven ability to collaborate with foster parents as professional partners.
- Full driving licence and unrestricted access to a personal vehicle.
Required skills
- Excellent report‑writing ability.
- Strong organisational skills to meet deadlines.
What we offer
- Salary pro‑rated to part‑time (approximately £29,600–£37,000 FTE).
- £3,000 car allowance.
- 30 days annual leave, increasing to 35 days with service.
