Supply Chain Development Planner

About the role

We are looking for a high‑performing, driven individual to join our Supply Chain Operations team as a Supply Chain Development Planner. You will own inbound supply‑chain processes while delivering strategic projects that improve efficiency, reduce cost, and enhance the customer experience across the UK business.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver operational improvement projects from concept to execution, defining plans, milestones and KPIs.
• Identify efficiency gains, cost‑saving opportunities and waste reduction using data‑driven modelling.
• Analyse complex datasets (Excel mandatory; SQL & Python advantageous) to generate insights and present actionable findings.
• Build and manage supplier relationships, monitoring performance against quality, cost and delivery targets.
• Gather best practices from international teams and external benchmarks to boost UK supply‑chain performance.
• Oversee weekly ordering and forecasting, anticipate risks and create contingency plans.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Inventory, Warehouse, Transport, Planning, Labour Management, Finance and Marketing.
• Champion continuous improvement and coach colleagues to balance day‑to‑day operations with long‑term goals.

Required profile

• Demonstrable experience in supply‑chain operations, project management or a related operational role (retail, consumer goods, logistics, production or manufacturing).
• Proven track record of delivering successful operational transformation projects.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills.
• Resilient, proactive problem‑solver who challenges the status‑quo.
