Supply SEN Teaching Assistant – Horsham

About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic and caring Supply SEN Teaching Assistants to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs across schools in Horsham and the surrounding area. This flexible, temporary position allows you to make a real difference while enjoying the variety that supply work provides.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one support tailored to each pupil’s individual needs.
• Assist with the development and implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
• Support small groups to build confidence and reinforce learning.
• Encourage independence, resilience and social development.
• Work closely with teachers, parents and external professionals.
• Maintain clear, accurate records of progress and share updates with staff and families.

Required profile

• Experience supporting students with special educational needs, or a strong desire to learn.
• Relevant qualification in education or SEND, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent communication skills and a calm, compassionate approach.
• Patience, positivity and a genuine passion for helping children grow.
• Ability to work as part of a supportive, committed team.
