Supply Teacher - KS1 & KS2 - September Start

About the role

Join Hays as a Supply Teacher for primary schools in the North West, covering Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 classes from September. You will provide day‑to‑day or long‑term cover, giving you flexibility to choose assignments that suit your schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the planned curriculum for KS1 and KS2 pupils on a temporary basis.
• Adapt lesson plans to meet the needs of each class and maintain classroom discipline.
• Collaborate with school staff to ensure a smooth handover and continuity of learning.
• Select assignments that match your preferences and decline those that do not.
• Potentially transition to a permanent position based on performance.

Required profile

• Passionate and driven individuals with a strong desire to teach.
• Minimum of 2 months teaching experience within the last 4 years (including university placements).
• Legal right to work in the UK.
• Qualified with a PGCE, QTS or QTLS. Alternatively, recent teaching experience can be substituted with a Teaching Assistant or Cover Supervisor role (1 month experience in the past 4 years).
