About the role
Hays Education is partnering with primary schools in Tonbridge to recruit enthusiastic Year 5 teachers on a supply basis. The role offers immediate start dates and the chance to support pupils as they transition towards Year 6.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Year 5 curriculum.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages confidence and resilience.
- Assess pupil progress and provide feedback to support attainment.
- Collaborate with senior staff, parents and colleagues to enhance learning outcomes.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it.
- Experience teaching in primary education, preferably Key Stage 2.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management abilities.
- Commitment to pupil progress and inclusive education.
Required skills
- Ability to design and deliver challenging, curriculum‑aligned lessons.
- Effective communication with pupils, parents and staff.
