About the role
Detillens is seeking a Sustainable Finance Consultant to join a leading financial services organisation. The role is ideal for senior associates or AVPs who want to deepen their expertise in sustainability reporting, risk management and regulatory compliance within a finance division.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and submission of all required sustainability disclosures for legal entities, ensuring they meet regulatory expectations and internal quality standards.
- Manage assurance activities across second‑ and third‑line functions, including internal audit, external audit and independent review teams, and monitor follow‑up actions.
- Design, implement and maintain finance‑owned processes, policies and a robust risk‑and‑controls framework for sustainability reporting, supported by clear governance and RACI documentation.
- Take ownership of the sustainability regulatory inventory and lead assessments to determine entity scope for existing and emerging reporting requirements.
- Oversee the sustainability data dictionary, ensuring key data definitions align with enterprise‑wide data governance standards.
Required profile
- Solid background in financial control with hands‑on experience producing regulated disclosures within a structured control environment.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) combined with strong analytical capability and meticulous attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience developing or operating risk and control frameworks, including governance processes and documentation standards.
- Strong stakeholder‑management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple business areas.
Required skills
- Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, etc.).
- Experience with major sustainability reporting frameworks and regulatory standards.
- Knowledge of data governance principles, data dictionaries and control requirements for narrative and numerical reporting.
- Proven ability to coordinate assurance activities and oversee remediation across first, second and third lines of defence.
