Teaching Assistant

About the role

An ambitious secondary school in Hounslow is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join its inclusion team from September. You will work alongside experienced teachers to support students with Special Educational Needs, helping them build confidence, independence and a positive attitude towards learning.

Key responsibilities

• Provide classroom support to keep students engaged and progressing.
• Deliver one‑to‑one and small‑group interventions tailored to individual learning needs.
• Support pupils with SEN, including autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and moderate learning difficulties.
• Collaborate with teachers to adapt activities and prepare classroom resources.
• Promote a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.

Required profile

• Experience working with children or young people is preferred.
• Previous experience supporting students with SEN is beneficial.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Calm, patient and adaptable approach.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary school team.
