About the role
We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to deliver focused literacy and numeracy interventions for secondary‑school pupils who need extra support. You will work with small groups outside the classroom, helping learners build confidence and achieve measurable progress.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver structured literacy and numeracy sessions for small groups.
- Collaborate with class teachers to design targeted support programmes.
- Monitor pupil progress and provide regular feedback to teaching staff.
- Adapt activities to meet individual learning needs.
Required profile
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or similar.
- Experience delivering literacy and/or numeracy interventions.
- Strong English and Mathematics knowledge.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Required skills
- Ability to engage and motivate pupils of varying abilities.
