Teaching Assistant – Secondary School (Ealing)

About the role

A welcoming secondary school in Ealing is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join its support team from September. The role focuses on helping students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) access the curriculum, build confidence and achieve their potential. You will work closely with teachers and the wider support team in an inclusive, pastoral environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support students during lessons to ensure engagement and curriculum access.
• Deliver targeted one‑to‑one and small‑group interventions for SEN learners.
• Provide tailored assistance for pupils with autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and moderate learning difficulties.
• Assist teachers with lesson preparation, classroom organisation and resource creation.
• Help maintain a positive, inclusive and well‑structured learning environment.

Required profile

• Previous experience working with children or young people (desirable).
• Experience supporting students with SEN, particularly autism, ADHD or communication needs (advantageous).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, flexible and proactive attitude.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a school team.
