About the role
Join a dedicated team supporting children and young people aged 5 to 19 with complex learning needs, autism and challenging behaviour. As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant you will help deliver personalised learning experiences in a supportive, inclusive environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one assistance to students, supporting their individual learning goals.
- Assist in implementing specialised learning plans and educational interventions.
- Create and maintain a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents and external professionals to develop tailored strategies.
- Monitor and report on academic and social‑emotional development.
- Support students during outings, field trips and extracurricular activities.
Required profile
- Genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy and ability to adapt teaching strategies.
- Relevant experience or qualifications in special education (desirable).
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
