About the role
The Clinical Division B of the Mental Health & Learning Disabilities Service is seeking a Team Secretary to provide day‑to‑day administrative support for the Older Adult Psychology & Neuropsychology department. This role is essential to ensure smooth operation of the team and high‑quality service delivery to patients.
Key responsibilities
- Manage reception duties, including greeting visitors and handling phone calls.
- Maintain and organise diaries, appointments and meeting schedules for the clinical team.
- Prepare and distribute correspondence, reports and meeting minutes.
- Set up and maintain filing systems, both electronic and paper‑based.
- Support the team with document preparation using MS Office applications.
- Handle confidential patient information with discretion.
Required profile
- Minimum of 5 Standard Grades or equivalent, including English Language.
- Proven experience in secretarial or administrative roles, preferably within a healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication skills and a sensitive approach to patient interaction.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Dragon Dictation software.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
