Tech Risk and Controls Director - Audit

About the role

This senior position sits at the heart of JPMorgan Chase's technological resilience programme. You will shape the firm’s tech‑risk strategy, guide cloud‑service controls and ensure compliance with audit and regulatory expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement technology risk management strategies, policies and processes across the firm.
• Advise and support IT operations on security, resiliency and high‑availability design.
• Partner with process owners to respond to internal and external audit and regulatory requests.
• Lead a small team and keep senior stakeholders informed of the organisation’s risk posture.
• Oversee key control areas such as access management, incident response, vulnerability management and data protection.
• Set reuse‑first expectations for enterprise‑authorized AI adoption within risk and controls operations.
• Identify and escalate emerging technology risks using the firm’s risk‑event management framework.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in technology risk, operational risk management and cloud‑service environments.
• Proven ability to work across multiple business lines, regions and disciplines.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing a small team.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with senior stakeholders and regulators.
