Technical and Special Risks Loss Adjuster

About the role

Sedgwick is looking for a Technical and Special Risks Loss Adjuster based in London. You will manage complex, high-value and technically challenging claims across a wide range of industries, from plant and machinery breakdowns and cyber-related losses to specialist liabilities and non-standard risks. The role suits experienced adjusters who enjoy solving complex problems in technical environments.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate the cause, circumstances and quantum of losses and take ownership of complex claims
• Engage with insureds, brokers, insurers, engineers, forensic specialists and legal teams to reach fair, accurate and defensible outcomes
• Interpret technical evidence, apply policy cover and explain complex technical detail clearly to clients
• Work from home or in one of the modern offices, supported by an experienced technical community

Required profile

• Proven experience handling technical, complex or non-standard claims, including specialist property, engineering, business interruption or emerging risk classes
• Ability to analyse complex information, interpret policy coverage and assess quantum independently
• Confidence communicating with policyholders, insurers, brokers, engineers and legal professionals
• Organisation and resilience to manage multiple complex claims while meeting quality, accuracy and deadline standards
