Telephone Business Development Manager – Finance Brokerage

About the role

This full‑time position focuses on acquiring new broker relationships for a leading UK finance brokerage. Working primarily by phone, you will educate and persuade finance brokers to refer business, helping to expand the company’s market reach.

Key responsibilities

• Acquire and build relationships with finance brokers predominantly via telephone.
• Respond to broker queries and educate them on product usage.
• Increase the number of broker referrals by highlighting benefits for brokers and their clients.
• Maintain a prospect pipeline and record all activity.
• Provide regular progress updates and reports to the Sales Director.
• Seek networking opportunities to grow contacts and new business prospects.
• Develop expert industry knowledge and commercial awareness.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance new‑business success.
• Track loan applications and leads generated by brokers.
• Assist with monthly analysis and reporting on broker activity.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 months experience in business development or sales, preferably within financial services.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Experience communicating complex financial products to business clients.
• Graduate‑level qualification is desirable but not essential.
• Self‑motivated, ambitious, and enthusiastic about hitting targets.
