Temporary Credit Controller – 1‑Month Contract – £13‑15/hr

About the role

Our client, a well‑established finance team in Maidenhead, is seeking an experienced Credit Controller for a one‑month temporary assignment. The role is office‑based and offers an immediate start for a candidate who can take ownership of the credit control function during a busy period.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end credit control process in line with company procedures.
• Chase outstanding payments across a high‑volume B2B customer ledger.
• Build positive relationships with customers via telephone and email.
• Collaborate with operational teams and account managers to resolve overdue accounts.
• Issue statements, payment reminders and escalation correspondence.
• Investigate account queries and coordinate timely resolutions.
• Apply and remove account holds where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate records and collection activity in Sage Intacct.
• Produce credit control reports and update collection progress.
• Escalate complex debt issues when necessary.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of B2B credit control experience handling high‑volume accounts.
• Proven ability to work independently and integrate quickly into a busy finance team.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Immediate availability for the full one‑month assignment.
