Temporary Employee Relations Advisor

About the role

Our client, a world‑renowned sporting organisation, is seeking a Temporary Employee Relations Advisor to join their dynamic HR team on an interim basis. The role will run for 2‑3 months, offering a fast‑paced environment where you can add real value to people‑focused processes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance and coaching to managers on employment law, performance management, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, restructures and equality matters.
• Support fair, consistent and legally compliant decision‑making across the business.
• Identify employment‑law risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Coach managers on best practice and employment‑law processes.
• Monitor case trends, analyse data insights and drive improvements in compliance.
• Assist the wider HR team with employee‑relations administration and processes.
• Stay up‑to‑date with current employment legislation and HR best practice.

Required profile

• Proven experience in an employee‑relations focused role.
• Strong, up‑to‑date knowledge of UK employment law.
• Confident stakeholder‑management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Experience in retail or hospitality environments is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience using HR information systems.
