Temporary Merchandising Administrative Assistant

About the role

This temporary position supports the Buying & Merchandising team of a leading luxury department store. You will help ensure product availability, manage supplier relationships and provide data‑driven insights to drive trading decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Produce sales forecasts and analytical reports to support trading decisions.
• Raise, track and manage purchase orders from creation to delivery.
• Expedite deliveries, monitor product availability and resolve issues quickly.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, driving OTIF performance.
• Identify delivery problems early and implement corrective actions.
• Analyse supplier compliance charges and generate performance insights.
• Maintain system parameters for optimal stock allocation.

Required profile

• Highly proficient in Excel, including pivot tables, reporting and data analysis.
• Strong communicator comfortable working across multiple teams.
• Analytical mindset with a commercial focus.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and solutions‑focused.
• Ability to manage priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
