Tier 1 Strategy Consultant – Financial Services

About the role

We are seeking a Tier 1 strategy consultant to support a senior project lead on a high‑profile financial services engagement. The role involves rigorous problem‑solving, due‑diligence analysis and the creation of senior‑ready deliverables for strategic and implementation decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct structured market, commercial and operational analysis to inform strategic choices.
• Lead stakeholder engagement with financial institutions, regulators, market infrastructure providers and industry bodies, synthesising inputs into clear themes.
• Produce high‑quality written outputs, including analysis, recommendations and narrative‑ready sections for a published industry report, supported by slides and appendices.

Required profile

• Background in MBB or Tier 1 strategy consulting.
• 10+ due‑diligence engagements (CDD and/or VDD).
• Strong experience in financial services, preferably capital markets, with digital‑assets exposure considered a plus.
• Proven ability to structure ambiguous problems, run market studies and synthesise complex topics into client‑ready outputs.

Required skills

What we offer

• Day‑rate of approximately £800+, depending on level, inside IR35.
• 7‑12 week rolling assignment with potential for extension.
• Hybrid work arrangement in London.
