Trainee Surveyor

About the role

Bloor Homes is looking for a motivated Trainee Surveyor to join its Eastern Regional Office in Bury St Edmunds. This is a hands‑on entry‑level position that offers full support and funding to achieve an industry‑recognised qualification while working on real house‑building projects.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out site measurements in liaison with the Surveyor.
• Perform drawing take‑offs and produce labour‑only rates.
• Maintain and update the SMAS database and SWMP Carriers Matrix.
• Assist in pricing non‑standard client extras and updating Cost of Sales.
• Support the preparation of H&S packs and Code for Sustainable Homes documentation.
• Help produce Group Rebate Forms and update build completion dates in Eque2.
• Process designated invoices, utility bills and site bookings.
• Make material enquiries, assist with procurement and maintain a subcontract/material supplier database.

Required profile

• Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to work collaboratively with experienced professionals.

Required skills

• Experience with SMAS database.
• Familiarity with Eque2 system.
