About the role
The Trainer Assessor will deliver high‑quality teaching, coaching and assessment to apprentices and employer‑based learners, helping them achieve their business skills qualifications. Working in a hybrid environment, you will create engaging learning experiences and support learners throughout their programmes.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of apprentices and employer‑based learners, providing training, coaching, mentoring and assessment to meet apprenticeship standards.
- Assess learners’ starting points and develop personalised training plans in collaboration with employers.
- Deliver comprehensive induction programmes and ensure employers understand their responsibilities.
- Design and implement training strategies, resources and activities that drive progress toward successful completion.
- Maintain compliance with Acorn Training and Awarding Organisations quality‑assurance processes.
- Plan, track and monitor off‑the‑job training as part of each learner’s plan.
- Support the development of learners’ English, maths and digital skills.
- Provide pastoral support, safeguarding, equality, diversity and British values guidance.
- Organise assessment opportunities, review meetings and provide constructive feedback.
- Offer advice and guidance to learners and employers throughout the programme.
Required profile
- Proven experience delivering training, coaching and assessment to apprentices or employer‑based learners.
- Strong knowledge of apprenticeship standards, assessment methods and quality‑assurance requirements.
- Understanding of Safeguarding, Prevent, Equality, Diversity and Fundamental British values.
- Ability to develop individual training plans and monitor learner progress.
- Excellent communication skills for working with learners, employers and internal teams.
