UK Corporate Banking Degree Apprenticeship 2027

About the role

Barclays is recruiting for a UK Corporate Banking Degree Apprenticeship in Belfast, running from August 2027 to August 2031. The apprentice takes part in the day-to-day work of the UK Corporate Banking division, supporting senior colleagues with client-focused decisions, new products and services and new market opportunities. The programme combines a permanent full-time job with a professional qualification, and is aimed at school leavers and career changers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage client relationships and provide customer service support, answering questions about products and services and processing transactions, under steadily decreasing supervision.
• Carry out small research projects, prepare presentations and reports and collaborate with senior management to implement research findings.
• Work with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.
• Identify opportunities, develop business cases and manage the launch of new products and services.
• Take part in training and development programmes.

Required profile

• 3 A-levels at BBB (or equivalent) and GCSE Mathematics grade 6 and English Language grade 4.
• Legal right to work full-time in the UK for the whole programme without sponsorship; Barclays cannot offer visa sponsorship.
• No previous study, education, training or apprenticeship similar to the qualification sought.
• Commitment and enthusiasm, with the ability to work hard and think differently.
