Vehicle Damage Assessor

About the role

The Vehicle Damage Assessor will join a well‑established commercial vehicle repair business on the Wirral. Working Monday‑to‑Friday, you will be responsible for assessing damage to vans and light commercial vehicles and producing accurate repair estimates.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect damaged vans and light commercial vehicles, identify and record all damage.
• Prepare detailed repair estimates with cost breakdowns.
• Liaise with internal departments and customers to ensure clear communication of findings.
• Produce written reports that support the efficient repair process.
• Maintain accurate records in the estimating system.

Required profile

• Strong mechanical and automotive knowledge.
• Experience working on vans and light commercial vehicles.
• Previous role as a Vehicle Damage Assessor or estimator.
• Ability to work independently in a commercial bodyshop environment.

Required skills

• ATA (Automotive Technician Accreditation).
• Proficiency with Audatex estimating system.
• Proficiency with Glassmatix estimating system.
