Vehicle Inspections Assessor – Full‑time

About the role

We are recruiting a Vehicle Inspections Assessor for a permanent, full‑time position in Tonbridge. The role involves carrying out detailed vehicle inspections, assessing condition and roadworthiness, and producing accurate reports in line with company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections following company procedures and industry standards.
• Assess vehicle condition, identify faults, defects and areas requiring repair or further investigation.
• Produce clear, detailed inspection reports within agreed timescales.
• Highlight and escalate any technical or safety‑related issues identified.
• Maintain high accuracy while completing assessments efficiently.
• Communicate findings professionally with customers, internal teams and stakeholders.
• Keep accurate records and documentation for all inspections.

Required profile

• Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Previous hands‑on experience working with vehicles in a workshop or inspection environment.
• Strong technical understanding of vehicle components and systems.
• Genuine interest in the automotive industry.
• GCSEs (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent qualifications.

Required skills

• Vehicle inspection and assessment techniques.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
