Waking Night Crisis Support Worker

About the role

Paragon Social Care is seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Waking Night Crisis Support Workers. You will provide trauma‑informed care to vulnerable children and young people during night hours, helping them feel safe and supported while they transition towards independence.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, trauma‑informed care throughout waking night shifts.
• Build positive relationships and encourage healthy daily routines.
• Prepare meals, support education, and develop life‑skills activities.
• Advocate for young people, ensuring their voices are heard.
• Assist with medical appointments and community activities.
• Transport young people using your own vehicle when required.

Required profile

• Experience working with children or young people (paid or voluntary).
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Patience, empathy and resilience.
• Willingness to work waking nights, weekends and occasional sleep‑ins.
• Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).
• NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care (desirable but not essential).

• Basic IT proficiency for record‑keeping and communication.
