Ward Clerk – Hospital Administration

About the role
We are seeking a friendly, professional Ward Clerk to join our team at Cygnet Hospital Bury Forestwood. Working 40 hours per week, you will help ensure smooth and safe management of patient care across our CAMHS Tier 4 PICU, General Acute and Low Secure wards.
Key responsibilities
- Assist clinical staff with ward administration tasks.
- Accurately record and circulate information.
- File patient case notes and conduct regular audits.
- Complete ward filing in line with Cygnet policies.
- Answer telephone calls, cover reception and perform other administrative duties.
- Submit reports on time and keep care plans up to date.
- Liaise with medical secretaries to ensure timely report submission.
Required profile
- Experience in administration within a fast‑paced hospital environment.
- Organised, diligent and able to strictly follow processes and procedures.
- Knowledge of mental health issues and patient confidentiality.
- Ability to input, pull and analyse data using Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
