Warehouse Operative – 4 days on/4 days off

About the role

Freightserve is seeking a reliable Warehouse Operative to join its Slough facility on a 4‑days‑on/4‑days‑off schedule. You will work within a fast‑growing freight forwarding business handling a variety of perishable and ambient cargoes.

Key responsibilities

• Manual handling of chilled, frozen and ambient goods.
• Operate counter‑balance forklift trucks ranging from 1.5 t to 8 t.
• Pick, pack, split and sort shipments according to instructions.
• Load and unload vans, articulated trucks and other vehicles.
• Sort, stack and build aircraft pallet stocks, logging movements in the computer system.
• Maintain accurate paper and electronic stock records.
• Collaborate with the office team and follow supervisor directions throughout the shift.
• Uphold housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of warehousing experience.
• Previous experience in the freight industry is desirable.
• Valid B1 forklift licence (A B2 licence preferred but not essential).
• Ability to work 10‑hour shifts, 4 days on followed by 4 days off.

Required skills

• Forklift operation (B1 classification).
• Counter‑balance forklift handling.
