Warehouse Operative - Counterbalance

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operative to join our fast‑paced team at our Heywood facility. The role focuses on safe and efficient handling of goods using a counterbalance forklift, supporting daily warehouse operations and ensuring smooth dispatch of orders.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently.
• Pick, pack and prepare goods for dispatch.
• Assist with general warehouse duties such as cleaning and organising stock.
• Off‑load supplier deliveries and maintain accurate stock control.
• Follow company policies to uphold high health and safety standards.
• Work collaboratively with a friendly, motivated team.

Required profile

• Previous experience operating a counterbalance forklift (license/certificate preferred).
• Proactive, hands‑on approach with strong attention to detail.
• Reliability and a positive attitude with a desire to develop a career.
• Experience in a busy yard or warehouse environment.
• Shunting licence is an advantage, training can be provided.
