Warehouse Operative – Freezer Picking (Reading)

About the role

Join GXO Logistics as a Warehouse Operative in a fast‑paced, chilled environment supporting Waitrose orders. You will work on a 5‑day shift pattern, either mornings (06:00‑14:00) or afternoons (14:00‑22:00), ensuring accurate order picking in a freezer setting.

Key responsibilities

• Operate in the freezer and support picking of customer orders.
• Use manual handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Utilise the warehouse management system and pick‑by‑voice technology.
• Follow health & safety policies and maintain high hygiene standards.
• Meet daily productivity and performance targets.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a chilled or freezer warehouse.
• Familiarity with MHE such as LLOP, PPT or FLT.
• Flexibility to work peak seasons.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to health & safety standards.

Required skills

• Manual handling equipment (LLOP, PPT, FLT).
• Warehouse management system operation.
• Pick‑by‑voice equipment usage.
