WCA Nurse Assessor – Functional Specialist (Hybrid)

About the role

Join a leading multinational employer as a WCA Functional Specialist, providing unbiased, comprehensive health assessments for the Government's Work Capability Assessment (WCA) benefit. This hybrid position allows you to work both from the Belfast training site and from home, supporting full‑time or part‑time schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of claimants' physical, sensory, mental, intellectual and cognitive impairments.
• Prepare each case, gather evidence, and deliver evidence‑based WCA reports.
• Manage cases through to conclusion, including requesting additional documentation and completing audit amendments.
• Allocate time for breaks, CPD, team meetings and quality reviews within the daily rota.

Required profile

• Qualified Nurse, Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist or Paramedic.
• Minimum 1 year post‑qualification experience.
• Valid, unrestricted registration with NMC or HCPC.
• Excellent communication skills and strong IT literacy.
