Welder / Fabricator – High Speed Doors Production

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Welder/Fabricator to join our Leeds-based manufacturing team, producing bespoke high‑speed doors and industrial curtains. The role offers a competitive hourly rate and a comprehensive benefits package within an employee‑owned company.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare doors and components using MIG welding, metal drilling, tapping, cutting, plasma cutting and fabricating.
• Assemble and finish a full range of high‑speed doors and related products.
• Work to production deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Perform quality checks on own work and record accurate time logs.

Required profile

• Strong work ethic and problem‑solving ability.
• Team player with good communication and organisational skills.
• Willingness to learn, develop and work overtime when required.
• Ability to pass a weld test.

Required skills

• MIG welding (qualification preferred).
• Use of automated machinery and hand tools.
• Metal drilling, tapping, cutting and plasma cutting.
