Workday Specialist (HCM Consultant) – AVP (Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Barclays is seeking a Workday Specialist (HCM Consultant) at AVP level to lead end‑to‑end technology development for HR Value Streams. The role will partner with HR Journey Owners to execute a technology roadmap that leverages Workday, ServiceNow and other platforms, supporting the transition to an Agile delivery model.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, configuration and implementation of Workday HCM solutions across core HR processes.
• Collaborate with global HR technology teams, the HR CIO and the Global Workday Platform Owner to deliver high‑quality software and enhancements.
• Drive cross‑functional collaboration with product managers, designers and engineers to define requirements and ensure seamless integration.
• Participate in code reviews, promote coding standards and secure development practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience training and implementing changes within Workday.
• Strong knowledge of Workday Core HR modules and employee lifecycle processes.
• Ability to lead a global pool of resources on a matrix basis and influence decision‑making.
