About the role
The Working Foreman will lead daily site operations for Acorn Builders, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. This role involves supervising construction crews, coordinating tasks and maintaining a safe working environment on site.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and allocate daily work schedules for tradespeople.
- Monitor site quality, conduct inspections and verify work against drawings.
- Manage budgets, procure materials from approved suppliers and ensure timely delivery.
- Enforce health and safety plans, method statements and safe systems of work.
- Maintain accurate paperwork, including site reports, inspections and hand‑over documentation.
- Prepare site areas before work starts and ensure proper clearance after tasks are completed.
Required profile
- Proven experience as a site supervisor or foreman on residential developments.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- Strong organisational skills to coordinate teams and resources.
- Valid UK driving licence.
