Year 1 Teacher – Primary School (Blackpool)

About the role

We are partnering with a welcoming primary school in Blackpool to find an enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher. This full‑time position supports pupils as they move from the Early Years Foundation Stage into Key Stage 1, delivering high‑quality, engaging lessons in a nurturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons aligned with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
• Support pupils transitioning from EYFS to structured learning.
• Create an inclusive, stimulating classroom atmosphere.
• Assess, monitor and track pupil progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and support staff to achieve the best outcomes.
• Promote positive behaviour and maintain high expectations.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 1, preferably Year 1.
• Strong knowledge of the Year 1 curriculum and phonics.
• Excellent classroom management and organisational abilities.
• A nurturing, child‑centred approach.
• Commitment to raising attainment for every child.
